Rumpuheimo Drum Tribe

Cultural Kaleidoscopes Fri 25.9. & Sat 26.9.

In the North, culture was born from shared rhythm, from living side by side with the seasons, from fire, and from people.

Fire has long been a source of life, protection, and work. The flames of tar burning, rivers, and ancient travel routes have shaped northern life and culture. Drums have brought people together for thousands of years and still do.

Rumpuheimo, with the pulse of shaman drums, invites you to pause and be present. This is a tribute to northern cultural heritage and a reminder that culture belongs to everyone.

Rumpuheimo a larger Oulu-based frame drum tribe, will be present with a large group of drummers and their self made drums, many crafted from sacred reindeer skin. These drums are also known as shaman drums.

Our wish is that, in addition to listeners, other percussion enthusiasts will join us as well, so if your fingers are itching to play, bring your own drum or other instrument and come drum with us.

Welcome to experience something truly unique around frame drums (and fire)!
