A Magical parade full of light
Aubegenville, France
It felt like a dream
Galway International Arts Festival, Ireland
Towards Cassiopeia, towards Aldebaran, there is, they say, a great white horse.
Pegasus, with silver wings, leading forgotten stars to other constellations.
On the dust of a comet, a stellar parade. That of Pegasus and the characters of his legend.
That of the song of the stars, a poetic epic, an ode to mythology.
Open your eyes! Look at the sky… and see them passing by!
Pegasus, The Song of the Stars by Planète Vapeur will bring the fantastical and magical to life as the grand finale of each day of Cultural Kaleidoscopes Street event.
The grande finale of Cultural Kaleidoscopes is Pegasus, one of Europe’s most ambitious large-scale street theatre productions, created by France’s renowned Planète Vapeur, specialists in monumental outdoor art that fuses mechanical sculpture, music, opera, circus, acrobatics and spectacle performance.
The production features an 18-ton illuminated horse (11 m × 7 m × 3 m) animated by 12 international artists, merging live music, opera, circus, street theatre, spectacle art performance and visual spectacle into a poetic, multi-sensory event.
Appearing for the first time in Finland and the Nordic region, Pegasus will transform Oulu’s city centre into a mythical landscape of light, sound, and movement — a shared open space of imagination where artistic performance meets public life.
