NOPE are a band performing a captivating, energetic mix of new and old folk music from Oulu.
The four-piece band’s music combines virtuoso fiddle, ethereal vocals and a catchy rhythm. NOPE invites the audience to dance and have fun at the edge of our shared tradition – and won’t leave you indifferent, even if you don’t care much for folk music.
NOPE has been active in the Oulu folk music and dance scene since 2015, and consists of music professionals. Their debut album “Kyllä” was released in 2022 and can be found on most streaming services, the second album will be released in the summer of 2025.
