Anu Vehkomäki

Born and raised by the lakes and forests just outside of Oulu the mythologies and stories of Finland have always been near my heart. As a literature student I dove even deeper into the world of stories, fantasy and mythologies and familiarised myself with Kalevala and other myths collected from the area of modern day Finland and Karelia. My stories come from the tradition of Finnish folkstories of nature and elves and our national epic The Kalevala. The stories of our little corner of this planet is a vast source of stories that many know partially, but that have been somewhat forgotten.
